About the Program
The AmeriCorps Legends Fellows program places 24 dedicated individuals in our classrooms and community each year. Fellows work alongside teachers, provide tutoring and mentoring, support social-emotional learning, and help create the conditions where every scholar can thrive.
This isn't about checking a box or putting in time. It's about being part of a movement for educational equity. It's about showing up for scholars who deserve the best. And it's about growing as a person while making measurable difference.

What You'll Do as a Fellow
Classroom Support
Work alongside teachers in classrooms. Provide small group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and differentiated support. Help create an environment where every scholar succeeds.
Mentoring & Mentoring
Build relationships with scholars. Provide mentoring, emotional support, and guidance. Be the adult who knows them, believes in them, and shows up for them.
Enrichment & Programming
Help coordinate and run enrichment programs—arts, athletics, clubs, field trips. Create joy and belonging in our community.
Family Engagement
Support family engagement initiatives. Help bridge communication between school and home. Celebrate families and build partnerships.
Community Building
Help create a culture of belonging, excellence, and care. Model the values we're trying to instill in our scholars.

The Impact of a Fellow
One Fellow works with 30-40 scholars directly, providing tutoring, mentoring, and support.
